Cannabitch is a newsletter covering cannabis culture by journalist Jackie Bryant. It was formerly a weekly column at the now-defunct alt-weekly San Diego CityBeat.

Bryant was named 2024 “Journalist of the Year” by the San Diego Writers Festival and 2023 “Cannabis Lifestyle Reporter of the Year” by Benzinga. Cannabitch won the “best blog” distinction at the 2021 and 2022 San Diego Chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists journalism contest, honorable mention for “Best Solo Newsletter” in the 2022 New York University American Journalism Online Awards, and the essay “California’s Weed Country is Lit” was selected by Padma Lakshmi for inclusion in the 2021 Best American Travel Writing anthology, published by Houghton Mifflin Harcourt.

Jackie is currently the content strategist of San Diego Magazine’s creative studio. Previously, she was the magazine’s managing editor. She also hosts a podcast called The Plant Lady on the magazine's podcast platform about all things cannabis culture and business.
